Banana Pie

It was the birthday of Babusya I made her her favorite dessert: a banana pie.

Ingredients :

  • a puff pastry (250 g)
  • 6 bananas
  • 2 limes
  • 20 g of butter
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of rum
  • 60 g grated coconut (I didn’t put it because I don’t like it)
  • 2 pinches of cinnamon powder

Method :

  • Cut the bananas in half lengthwise.
  • Pour the sugar into an ovenproof pan and heat it without stirring. Once melted add the butter then the ruhm and the lemon.
  • Arrange your bananas and cook for 5 minutes
  • Cover them with your puff pastry by sliding the edge towards the inside of the mold, along the walls.
  • Bake for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and wait 5 minutes before unmolding
  • Serve the pie, sprinkling it with grated coconut accompanied by vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Add some chocolate sauce and you have a banana split pie!
